About The Role

Are you an outstanding teacher looking for your next challenge?

Do you have a passion for working with vulnerable children and want to make a real difference to children’s lives? If the answer to these questions is yes, then why not join us?

Compass Community School Willow Dean is an independent specialist school providing high-quality, therapeutic and child-centred education to boys and girls from 6 to 17 years of age In Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire.

Our children come from a wide range of backgrounds, but all have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Many will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

In Compass Schools, we believe all teachers are, primarily teachers of children, before being teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students.
