Come and be part of our team in our new school, Compass Community School Redwood Park in Milton Keynes. Be part of the development and opening of a new independent day School. A brand new 90 place school for pupils 7-19, opening September 2025

In Compass Schools, we believe all teachers are, primarily teachers of children, before being teachers of subjects. Central to this role is knowing the child, building professional, nurturing and positive relationships and motivating students.

We are looking for senior teachers from a range of subject specialisms, including Science, Maths and English. 

As a Senior Teacher, you will:
  • Lead and support the development of a broad, engaging, and accessible curriculum tailored to SEMH learners within your subject specialism.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to drive innovation in teaching and learning.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to teaching staff, ensuring best practices in classroom management and pedagogy.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive school culture that promotes the well-being and progress of all pupils.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies to create a collaborative educational environment.
  • Support whole-school initiatives, interventions, and pastoral care strategies.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching across either primary and secondary phases.
  • A strong background in working with students with SEMH needs, ideally within a specialist setting.
  • Experience in curriculum design, development, and implementation.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and support staff.
  • Excellent communication, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and aspirational learning environment.

Additional responsibilities include deputising for the Head teacher, when she is off the premises.
