We are looking for a dedicated Deputy Headteacher with QTS to help lead our specialist SEN school, which caters for children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and complex needs in a therapeutic, nurturing setting.
This is a 12-month fixed-term position, with the potential to become permanent as the school continues to expand and evolve. You will play a pivotal role in our next chapter, supporting the Headteacher and wider team during an exciting period of redevelopment and innovation.
Key requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to education.
- Demonstrable experience working with SLD and/or complex needs in a leadership or middle leadership role.
- Ability to lead and manage staff across teaching and multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to safeguarding, child development, and inclusive practice.
- Experience in leading and implementing highly adapted curriculums
You will contribute to whole-school improvement, curriculum innovation, staff development, and high standards of teaching and care. Most importantly, you will uphold the values of dignity, empathy, and personalised learning for every child.
