About The Role

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To lead and coordinate the qualifications service in delivering internal Level 3 and 5 Health and Social Care related NCFE/CMI qualifications, AQA Unit Awards, and apprenticeship programs to adult learners, including residential staff, the wider employee base and foster carers. You will represent Compass and more specifically the learning and development department to a wide range of stakeholders whilst promoting a consistent learning ethos to all employees.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  1. Coordinate, manage and grow an increased service offering, including non-regulated qualifications and flexible learning pathways to meet the wide range of business and professional needs
  2. Manage a team of Qualification Leads / Assessors, overseeing the delivery of all qualifications on offer including Level 3 and 5’s, AQA Unit Awards, apprenticeship programs and any other linked qualification programme
  3. Ensure the organisation remains compliant with all relevant regulation in regards to both childcare and employer provision, and ensure the service is sufficiently quality assured

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate, manage and grow an increased service offering, including non-regulated qualifications and flexible learning pathways to meet the wide range of business and professional needs

  • Develop further qualification offers based on the needs of the Group
  • Keep fully updated on newly available qualifications
  • Maintain full working understanding of the NCFE and other awarding body qualification systems
  • Develop further access and implementation of the apprenticeship levy
  • Oversee the data management and statistical output of the qualifications service
  • Liaise with all key stakeholders
  • Develop and support a Foster Carer linked Level 3 qualification
  • Support the growth of AQA unit awards group wide
  • Development and oversee the growth of externally more bespoke qualifications to ensure effective financial planning
 Manage a team of Qualification Leads / Assessors, overseeing the delivery and quality assurance of all qualifications on offer including Level 3 and 5’s, AQA Unit Awards, apprenticeship programs and any other linked qualification programme
  • Provide supervision and guidance to both Lead and/or Assessors as part of their core support
  • Responsible for the management and quality of all level 3 and 5 curriculum provision and similar qualification based programmes
  • Lead in the daily recording and data management process for the qualification service.
  • Provide relevant data reporting to key stakeholders
  • Inform relevant individual and managers of non-compliance with qualification progress
  • Lead the organisational communication in relation to qualifications
  • Where required, to respond efficiently and professionally to any enquiries in relation to training or qualifications
  • Run regular team meeting
  • Mentor new and experienced assessors
Ensure the organisation remains compliant with all relevant regulation in regards to both childcare and employer provision, and ensure the service is sufficiently quality assured
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Qualification service quality assurance and improvement systems ensuring high quality outcomes for learners and effective efficiency for the wider organisation
  • Implement and embed best practice to ensure continuous and sustainable improvements of the learner experience across the service
  • Implement wider IQA status within the qualification service and work with EQA processes
  • Oversee the standardising, development and professionalisation of the the documentation for learners
  • Monitoring L&D compliance and key performance indicators
  • Attend meetings and minute take where needed
  • Coordinate and analyse statistical information for the Qualification service and L&D team
  • Keep updated on relevant UK regulation in relation to children’s services
  • Increase level of AET and IQA qualified L&D team members
  • Quality assure the process and data management and share and hold those needed to account for breaches
