We are now looking for an Admissions Manager to play a key role in managing referrals, admissions and transitions across our network of Compass Community schools.

This is a highly collaborative and impactful role where you’ll work closely with Headteachers, Local Authorities, families and internal teams to ensure children are matched to the right school and experience a positive transition into education.

 

The Role

As Admissions Manager you will:

· Manage the end-to-end admissions process across Compass Community schools

· Review referrals and work with school leaders to assess placement suitability

· Build strong relationships with Local Authorities and commissioning teams

· Maintain clear admissions, referral pipelines and support school occupancy planning

· Coordinate smooth, well-planned transitions for children joining our schools

· Support the implementation of improved admissions systems, including a CRM platform to manage referrals and placement pipelines

· Provide insights into referral trends and demand to support school growth and new school openings

Your work will help ensure children are placed in the right environment to thrive.


What We’re Looking For

Essential

· Experience in education, SEND or children’s services

· Experience managing referrals, admissions or placement pipelines

· Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills

· A child-centred, values-led approach

Desirable

· Experience in specialist or independent education

· Understanding of SEMH or therapeutic environments

· Experience using or implementing CRM or referral management systems

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused, with the ability to balance multiple priorities while keeping the needs of children at the centre of every decision.
