Compass Fostering is seeking a highly organised and motivated Foster Carer Recruitment Officer – Assessments to join our dedicated Recruitment Team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring prospective foster carers progress smoothly from their initial visit through to assessment, helping to maintain high standards and an excellent applicant experience.
This role is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.
About the Role
You will oversee the progression of applicants entering the foster carer recruitment process, ensuring initial visit reports are quality assured, applicants are kept well-informed, and assessing social workers are supported with clear allocations and communication. This is a varied and rewarding coordination role that is central to achieving a timely, efficient, and high-quality assessment pipeline.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Quality assuring all initial visit reports and making informed decisions on applicant progression into assessment.
- Maintaining regular communication with applicants to ensure they feel supported and informed throughout their journey.
- Providing clear feedback and updates to Independent Social Workers on initial visits, report quality, and assessment availability.
- Allocating applicants into assessment through Compass’s internal systems and coordinating details with
- Recruitment Administrators and the Panel & Assessment Team.
- Monitoring the flow and quality of applicants, providing updates and insights to the Foster Carer
- Recruitment Manager.
- Supporting assessing social workers with queries around availability, processes, and invoicing.
- Ensuring social worker contact information, maps, and availability data are kept accurate and up to date.
- Working collaboratively with Recruitment Officers to support new enquiries, application form progression, and initial visit bookings when required.
- Building strong working relationships across teams to ensure an efficient and well-coordinated assessment process.
